2nd Annual Texas Brew-B-Que Festival

Events include a barbecue cook-off, beer sampling from numerous local breweries, beer games and tournaments (such as beer pong, washers, cornhole, keg toss, belching contest, beer belly contest and beer trivia), a Lumberjack Show, chihuahua races and a 20-minute Fourth of July Fireworks Show. The Texas Country Music stage features Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Cory Morrow, Mark McKinney, Ryan Beaver, Sean McConnell and The Jeremy Miller Band. Barbecue cook-off categories are brisket, chicken, sausage and homemade barbecue sauce. Entry fee for cook-off teams is $100 for a team of 8, and includes 150 pounds of brisket. Call for more cook-off information (ask for Jessie). Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Buda City Park.
